Your mission
In this interesting role as a (Senior) PHP Backend Developer you create an impact that really makes a difference.
You are responsible for ensuring that our ESG-Hub product runs smoothly in the backend and through constant development and optimization of the code you will contribute to providing the best possible product to our customers and thus have a direct positive impact.
In all of this, you will grow with VERSO and constantly develop both our Development team as well as yourself.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:- You are responsible for the further development and optimization of our internal ESG-Hub product.
- You take responsibility over the code and ensure its efficiency and stability.
- You contribute to deploying and operating our system in order to ensure the stability of the application.
- You will carry out tests for bug identification and also fix bugs.
- You will be encouraged to contribute your own ideas to constantly improve our product and be one step ahead.
- You will closely collaborate with our Frontend-Development team as well as our Product Team.
Your profile
You'll fit in particularly well with our Development Team if, in addition to a passion for sustainability, you also bring a great deal of openness and motivation to continuously improve our products and website.
What you need to succeed:
- You already have 5+ years of experience in the field of PHP backend development.
- You have in-depth experience with PHP 8 and are very familiar with the Symfony Framework, PHPUnit, Doctrine and Composer.
- You like to be challenged with technically extensive and in-depth tasks and you can represent your technical vision well.
- Unit tests, clean code, solid and pair programming are no strangers to you.
- You are experienced with Git, Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes, ArgoCD pipelines.
- You have the ability to understand complex requirements and maintain focus and a good overview also in stressful and urgent matters.
- You are able to switch between working independently and self-responsibly on projects and close collaboration with your team.
- You have a permanent residency in Germany.
- You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
